A Message from Jorge Carstensen, President of the Inter-American Chapter of The United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce
Dear Fellow Members of the Interamerican Chapter of US-Mexico Chamber of Commerce,
I am honored to have been elected by our members as the President of our Chapter for the next period which runs from 2021-2023. I have been involved in the Chamber since 2006 and together with a few other friends and long-time members I was part of the initial committee when we re-launched three years ago.
In this past year and a half, we have all encountered what may be the most challenging times of our generation. Most businesses have struggled, and I can be certain that this pandemic has affected all of us at different levels, personally and professionally. Nevertheless, we must take this opportunity to strengthen the ties amongst our membership, to help each other, and to find new and creative ways of doing business.
On the positive side, South Florida has been on the receiving end of a tidal wave of people and companies moving to take advantage of what we know well: unparalleled professional networks and talent, a friendly and welcoming business environment, and unique quality of life. Whether is financial services, technology, hospitality, logistics, and other industries, there are plenty of newcomers with whom we can all potentially build business relationships.
It is the goal of the Interamerican Chapter to help your companies reach these and all opportunities, in Florida, Mexico and the region. Reach out to us and let us know how we can work together, it’s what moves us!
We hope that circumstances allow us to have in person events and we can meet again soon. In the meantime, look out for further communications regarding webinars and other activities. Also, we are open to hearing your suggestions on how we can better engage with you and the broad membership.
Together we will continue to build and strengthen the Interamerican Chapter and make it a Bi-National Success Story!
