Volunteer Program

Are you searching for a meaningful work experience in the United States?

The United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce Inter-American Chapter in Miami offers a “Volunteer Program” that offers you the opportunity to gain practical work experience and promote cross-cultural understanding while contributing to USMCOCIA’s mission to foster and facilitate trade and business relations in the Americas. Our social, cultural, and business network provides a wide range of industries and fields throughout the business community.

What requirements are there for participants?

To participate in this program, please submit a request email to estela.cachoua@usmcoc.org to receive our registration documents. As there are few restrictions to this program, we welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experience levels.

  • Volunteer position does not need to relate to field of study – English proficiency
  • No monetary stipend possible (reimbursements sometimes permitted)
  • Duration: 1 to 12 months

This program is well suited for students or professionals that recently moved to Miami who would like to gain practical experience in the United States and would like to have the opportunity to meet the business community in Florida.

Many organizations across the United States are members of our chamber and we organize and offer different types of events and the below skills or studies help the USMCOC fulfill its mission to present quality activities:

  • Marketing & social media
  • International Trade Research
  • Public Relations (PR) Marketing
  • Accounting and Finance
  • Social Media Marketing
  • Event Planning

Event Volunteer

  • Miami, Florida
  • Non-paid  
  • 3 hours per event

We are looking for event volunteers to assist with the preparation, execution, and breakdown of a wide variety of our events. Event volunteers will assist on the event day with set-up, registration, answering questions, crowd management and/or breaking down tables and tents. Please note that specific tasks may change depending on the event.
